Child Welfare Policy


                      Child Welfare Policy Statement

Every child or young person who plays or participates in football should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the responsibility of every adult involved with Brendon Bees Junior Football Club.

Brendon Bees Junior Football Club recognises it's responsibilities to safe guard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect and bullying.

Brendon Bees Junior Football Club is determined to offer the highest standard of care to all children and young people who represent the club.

                        Child Welfare Procedure

Any person who suspects that any act, statement, conduct or other matter which harms a child or children, or poses or ma pose a risk of harm to a child or children, has a obligation to report this matter - in confidence - to the club welfare officers, who will deal with the matter as per the adopted procedures.

Brendon Bees Junior Football Club has adopted the procedures layed out in the Football Association handbook.

                  Child Welfare Policy Objectives
 
- The Child Welfare Policy Statements shall be incorporated into the Club Constitution and Club Rules.
- All club members shall receive a copy of the Club rules.
- Brendon Bees Junior Football Club shall appoint Club Welfare Officers.
- The Club Welfare Officers shall receive the appropriate training from the Football Association in conjunction with the NSPCC in all areas of Child Protection.
- The Club has achieved and will retain the FA Charter Standard Award.
- All teams mangers, coaches, assistants and helpers are to be vetted for CRB purposes.
- Team Mangers and/or Assiatnts must obtain a recognised FA coaching certificate to assist in the constant development of the players.
- Everyone associated in the running of the Club will receive an annual presentation of best practise in child welfare by the Club Welfare Officers.
