Match Reports :
03.9.11 v Hollingworth Juniors Away.
Hollingworth 5
Brendon Bees 2
We started the game badly and hardly got out of first gear and were 3 nil down by half time. A harsh
team talk saw the boys come out fighting in the second half with two quick goals from Declan Dunn and a fantastic goal
from Sam Pratt getting us back into the game. Unfortunately the Ref had a terrible game and was lacking experience to his
knowledge of the game which was confirmed by our side of the supporters yet even though the Ref gave nearly everything to
Hollingworth, our boys came off at the end with their heads held high losing out 5-2 in the end. Fantastic battling from Declan
Dunn earnt him the Man of the match award, well done Declan.
10.09.11 V Denton Youth (Home)
Brendon
Bees 2 Denton Youth 0
Started off quite well after last week but we failed to put away what looked
to be easy chances but kept Denton at bay most of the first half going into the interval 0-0. The second half started off
really well with Josh Faulkner netting a well taken first goal to put us in front, this was followed with another good goal
calmly taken goal by Callum Parrott who was awarded the Man of the match award for this week for his excellent contribution
and work rate during the game, well done Callum..
17.09.11 v AFC Oldham (Away)
AFC Oldham 4
Brendon Bees 4
A tough game lay ahead, new opposition to us so we weren't sure what to expect. From the whistle
we seemed to have all the play on a wet muddy pitch yet we struggled from their corners and they were soon 2-0 up, and then
they they got a third.
By half time we were losing three nil so a strong talking to was badly needed and it did
the trick, a fine taken goal from Kai Wynne Jones followed a few minutes later by a second brought us back into the game,
it was there for the taking and we piled the pressure on and were soon ahead with great goals from Josh Faulkner and Tom Galloway,
unfortunately poor defending gave AFC the equaliser shortly before the end. A well deserved draw gave us the share of the
points in the end, but we know next time the points could definately be ours. A fantastic performance from James Oatt gave
him a deserved Man of the match award.
24.09.11 V Marple Athletic (Home)
Brendon Bes 3
Marple Athletic 5
A very poor performance throughout the team in what should have been an equal sided game,
straight from the first kick we were a goal down and I could see where the game was going. It was four nil at half
time and if I had been a parent watching I would have gone home. Although we scored three towards the end of the match it
was too late. The final score looked better at the end but there is a lot of hard training to come over the next few weeks.
Man of the Match was given to Liam Cash in goal who saved us a number of times and saved our blushes even more.
01.10.11 v AFC Stanley (Cup) Away
AFC Stanley 1 Brendon Bees 4
A much better peformance
this weekend although the weather was a little hot, good all round play from all departments with an excellent
perfomance throughout the game for Man of the Match Dan Berry who worked really hard. Goals came from Kai Wynne
Jones, George Dyer, Declan Dunne and Keane O'Connor.
08.10.11 v Hollingworth Juniors Home
Brendon
Bees 5 Hollingworth 1
We played well from the start but a bad decision from the ref (Defo offside)
let Hollingworth take the lead against the run of play, yet we battled on and it payed off with some really gritty performances
throughout the team. Excellent goals from Callum Parrott (2), Sam Pratt (1), Josh Faukner (1) and Keane O'Connor gave
us a comfortable victory at the end . Man of the match was awarded to George Dyer who played his heart out.
15.10.11
V Denton Youth Away
Denton Youth 1 Brendon Bees 5
A well earned victory in the end
going one up very early in the game from Callum Parrott, we had to battle very hard with Denton equalising from
what some might say bad defending and others "that was offside", yet it counted. It was still level going
into half time but with some changes at half time, the direction of the game went our way with well taken goals from Kai Wynne
Jones, Liam Barry and another fantastic strike from Sam Pratt which was soom followed by the fifth from Declan Dunn. Man of
the Match went to Josh Faulkner for his really gritty performance throughout the game.
22.10.11 V AFC Oldham Home
Brendon Bees 3 AFC Oldham 3
From the start it looked liked we were going to win easily and
after about 10 minutes we were soon a goal up and were looking like taking all the points in this game but as usual
we let ourselves down and Oldham were soon back in the game, infact it wasn't too far into the game that we went behind
but credit to the boys they fought back and after conceeding a couple of sloppy efforts from Oldham we managed to hold out
for a 3-3 draw at the end with goals from Keane O'Connor, Josh Faulkner and Kai Wynne Jones, Man of the match was awarded
by Oldham to Sam Pratt, well done Sam.
29.10.11 V Clayton Villa Away
Clayton Villa 2
Brendon Bees 6
A difficult game from start to finish, what should have been a solid performance was
tarnished yet again by poor refereeing and really rubbish decisions, in the end we came away with all the points but we were
left to wonder what it would have been like with a proper ref. A hatrick from Liam Barry and one a piece from Man of the Match
Sam Pratt, Josh Faulkner and Callum Parrott gave us the three points.
05.11.11 V Hough End (Cup)
Brendon Bees 1 Hough End 6
We started off really well and pegged Hough End in their own
half for the first ten minutes but they were getting back into the game and were up 3-1 by half time. The second half
was more for Hough End but credit to the team they again tried their best to get a result, but it would have never happened
as we were yet again jinxed with our most favourite ref (not) from last season where we failed to win with him in the middle,
when will it end and we have a decent ref for at least a game. Our only goal came from Man of the Match for his third consecutive
game Sam Pratt.
12.11.11 V AFC Stanley (Away)
AFC Stanley 2 Brendon Bees 3
Having gone down 2-0 in the first half it looked as though we were dead and buried yet having a stern team talk at
half time seemed to work wonders with Brendon having most of the possession and winning the game with some fantastic work
from all the team, goals from George Dyer, and 2 from Kai Wynne Jones getting us the much deserved win at the end. Well done
to George Dyer who was awarded the Man of the Match by AFC's Manager.
19.11.11 V Clayton Villa (Home)
Brendon Bees 9 Clayton Villa 2
We started off well with a couple of early goals allowing us
to settle down and control the flow of the game yet we seemed to take our foot off the pedal and went into the half time break
leading 3-1. The second half started and finished well and at the end we won comfortably with Man of the Match Kai Wynne Jones
netting 5 and Geoge Dyer, Liam Barry, Callum Parrott and Keane O'Connor all hitting a goal a piece to give us a 9-2 victory.
03.12.11 V AFC Stanley (Home)
Brendon Bees 7 AFC Stanley 4
An excellent start to
the first half saw us taking a comfortable lead in to the interval leading by 4 goals to 1, yet Stanley clawed their way back
into the game with some sloppy defending from the very wet and very cold defenders yet we battled our way to the end and won
7-4 with 2 goals a piece from George Dyer and Josh Faulkner and one each from Liam Barry, Sam Pratt and Kai Wynne Jones. Man
of the match went to an impressive Liam Cash in goal, well done Liam.
21.01.12
V Marple Away
Marple 2 Brendon Bees 3
Well done to the boy's, excellent
stuff in this game in poor conditions, two goals from Kai Wynne Jones and an own goal giving us all three points and taking
us to the top spot in the league. Man of the match deservedly won by Dale Chadderton for a great performance.
