Next Match

The season 2010 / 2011 has now finished.

Match Reports :

Saturday 4th September 2010 v Waterloo Away

Waterloo 5   Brendon Bees 0

Our first competitive eleven aside game, and the worst I've seen us play. From the begining I knew it wasn't going to be easy, the team looked half aSaturday 5th March 2011 V West  sleep and weren't interested from the first whistle, Really poor displays from all but a couple of players meant we went in at half time 4-0 down and I was fuming, all the hard work we had put in at pre-season training went straight out of the window. The second half was a liitle better but we still ended the game 5-0 down. From this display if things don't improve we're going to get hammered every week. Man of the match easily outshining the rest of the team was Sam Gallacher who ran his heart out well done Sam G.

Wedneday 8th September 2010 Home V AFC Stanley

Brendon Bees 6    AFC Stanley

A much improved performance from all departments with excellent passing and ball control throughout the first half bringing with it a 5 nil half time lead with well taken goals from Ben McCarthy (2), Callum Parrott (2), Liam Barry (1). The second half was a little tougher with AFC battling to get back in the game but even with a penalty save from Liam Cash in goal we took the game to them, making it safe with a well taken back flick from George Dyer making it 6 nil at the end. A fine performance from Jack Chilton down the right wing earnt who the Man of the match award. The Boss is a happy man again.

Saturday 11th September 2010 Home V Hough End (Reversed Pitches)

Brendon Bees   1   Hough End   2

An excellent battle between the two teams with Brendon battling in every department in really wet (at times )conditions. I think Hough End thought they had this one in the bag as in previous meetings they have stuffed us, not this time. Although they scored first in the game, we pegged them back for long periods of time going in at the interval just the one goal down.

The second half started the same as the first with Brendon equal to  Hough End with determination and it paid off with a great corner from the left neatly nodded home by James Oatt to level the game. It went on from end to end throughout the remainder of the game until in the final 5 or 6 minutes when Hough Ends winger slotted home what was to be the winner. Although we had some excellent displays from the entire team, the Man of the Match award was snatched from Liam Cash's grasp by an outstanding solid display by Sam Pratt well done Sam.

Saturday 18th September Away V Delamere Rangers (Cup)

Delamere Rangers   2   Brendon Bees   1

I knew it wasn't going to be easy from the start when we started with a 12 player squad instead of 14 due to illness and lateness. We began the match equal to Delamere and continued that way until half time, then after the short break we managed an early second half goal slotted home by George Dyer.

From then on Delamere took control of the game and began to get round our defence easily, we were lucky that they weren't to good at putting the ball in the net. It wasn't too long afterwards that we failed to clear a corner and Delamere scored the equaliser with a second coming well into the second half direct from a free kick which Liam Cash parred but couldn't prevent it going into the net.

Saturday 25th September Home V Delamere Rangers

Brendon Bees 3   Delamere   2

A slow start to the game yet we managed to make Delamere defend throughout the first half, our first of the game was tapped home by George Dyer but the lead didn't last too long. Both teams played well but Brendon took it up another notch with Liam Barry putting us in front  again, but yet again Delamere were awarded a free kick just outside our box and just like last week, we didn't manage to clear the shot and Delamere went level at 2 each.

Brendon pushed hard and at times pegged Delamere back in their own half with the constant pressure enabling George Dyer to push home his second goal of the game and gaining him the Man of Match award.

Saturday 2nd October Away V Mossley Juniors

Mossley Juniors 3   Brendon Bees 5

A poor start on a tricky pitch in the first half saw us 2-0 down with in the first twenty minutes and  because of the squad rotational system we have in place we had some players starting their first games so they had to adapt to the successful system we had been playing over the past few weeks and they were finding it difficult. We had to make changes to try and rescue the points so changes were made and by half time we had kept the score down to 2-0.

At the interval more changes we made and we soon found our feet with a penalty bringing us back into the game , being put away neatly by Liam Barry. This was then followed by two more goals which meant we were in front for the first time, but slack marking allowed Mossley to draw level before we took advantage and gritted our teeth to soon go back in front. We were 5-3 up when the ref eventually blew his whistle. Callum Parrott netting twice, George Dyer once and Jack Chilton scoring the other. Man of the match went to Josh Faulkner for a real gritty display.

Saturday 9th October Home V Reddish Villa

Brendon Bees 2   Reddish Villa 2

A great game to watch with end to end action throughout with Reddish scoring first but Brendon getting level almost immediately with a well taken goal from Ben McCarthy. The game was exciting and there were times each team thought they could take all the points but at the end it ended in a draw with Jack Garnett netting a great goal and both teams sharing the points. man of the match was Tom Galloway for his solid performance at the back.

Saturday 16th October Away V Manchester Corithians

Manchester Coritians 7  Brendon Bees 2

Well this was definately a game of two halves with both teams matching each other in all departments, Corithians taking an early lead but was soon cancelled out by an excellent lob over the goalie from well outside the area by Ben McCarthy. It wasn't too long after that Corithians went 2-1 up with sloppy defending allowing them to score easily. Again Brendon attacked well and pressured, getting the second goal to go level by James Oatt. 2-2 at half time was fair.

The second half started and Corithians were soon taking the lead, Brendons heads went down and from then on we lost the will to want to win, sloppy marking and bad decisions from the ref contributed to the final scoreline of 7-2 to Corithians.
Man of the match was awarded to Liam Barry for his great play in the first half.

Saturday 23rd October 2010 Home V Manchester Tigers

Brendon Bees 1   Manchester Tigers 6

The first half started off and finished well and we matched Tigers throughout the half in fact we frightened the Tigers, but again as we have done inn the past, it wasn't to last and we ran scared in the second half. Fantastic saves from Liam Cash kept the score to single figures though as we went down 6-1 in end with our only goal coming from Liam Barry, Man of the match went to Liam Cash.

Saturday 30th October 2010 Away to Marple Atheletic

Marple 5   Brendon Bees 4

We again started really well going 2 goals up early on but again we let ourselves down with Marple firstly clawing back to 2 a piece and then going into the lead.
At the end we managed to get back into the game but it was too late and we eventually went down 5-4, George Dyer (2) Jack Chilton (1) and Ben McCarthy (1)

Saturday 6th November 2010 Home V Mossley Juniors

Brendon Bees   2   Mossley   2

A good start but poor second half meant we had to share the points in a game we should have easily won, yet it wasn't to be but a much better improved performance on the previous week, they will come good soon, I know they will. Good performance all round from Declan Dunn earning him his Man of the match award. Goal scorers were Liam Barry (1) James oatt (1).

Saturday 13th November 2010 Home V Denton Youth

Brendon Bees 10   Denton Youth  1

Well we certainly played our hearts out this week, each and every player piling the effort in and all deserving the Man of the match award but one player stood out most and that was Ben McCarthy who enjoyed his new midfield role and netted 2 great goals as well, well done Ben. Other goals came from Liam Barry (3), George Dyer (2), Josh Faulkner (1), Declan Dunn (1) and Sam Pratt (1)

Saturday 20th November 2010 Away V AFC Stanley

AFC Stanley   3   Brendon Bees   6

A tricky first half with Stanley taking an early lead and looking as though we had a real fight on our hands yet we managed to equal soon after with a well taken goal by Ben McCarthy at the back post. It stayed tight up until a couple of minutes before half time when Liam Barry slotted home to put us in the lead as the whistle went.

The second half started well for us and we soon put number three in the Stanley net, we were running the game but Stanley pushed us hard with an untimely error between the sticks allowing them to get back into the game.

Both teams equalled each other out yet it was Brendon who managed to go further into the lead with the final result giving Brendon a 6-3 win . Goal scorers were Liam Barry 2, Ben McCarthy 1, George Dyer 1, Declan Dunn 1 and Callum Parrott 1, Man of the match was George Dyer, well done George.

Saturday 11th December 2010 V Waterloo Away

Brendon Bees 0   Waterloo 3

Not a great game as it was played on the all weather pitch and it was full size pitch with full size goals, but we battled but got tired quickly having to run so much.
We evetually went down 3 nil.

Saturday 8th January 2011 V Hough End Away (Cup)

Hough End 16   Brendon Bees 0

The first game in the New Year and we got Hough End in the Cup, unfortunately our team might as well have stayed at home eating their Christmas pudding because they were still fast asleep, I was embarrassed to say the least, we were 4 down within the first twenty minutes. Anyway we need to forget this game and start again.

Saturday 15th January 2011  V Denton Youth at Home

Brendon Bees 3   Denton Youth 0

A better start than in our last game, the team battled hard and deservedly beat Denton and could have won by a bigger score yet the fantastic hatrick from Declan Dunn earnt him the Man of the match award in this game, well done Declan.

Saturday 12th February 2011 V Reddish Villa at Home

Reddish Villa   4   Brendon Bees  4

We should have won this game easily and at one point in the game  we were in  command leading 3-1 yet sloppy defending and lazy play gave Reddish a share of the points. Goal scorers Sam Pratt 1, George Dyer 1, Liam Barry and one from Callum Parrott with George Dyer getting the Man of the Match award for his efforts.

Saturday 5th March 2011  V West End Away

West End 1   Brendon Bees 4

Not a fantastic game and I know we should have done better but having not played for a couple of weeks it was a good performance from all concerned. Another couple of goals from Declan Dunn, one from Callum Parrott and the fourth from Jack Chilton gave us the three points to keep us in the top half of the league table. Tom Galloway was awarded the Man of the Match as he played his heart out throughout the game.

Saturday 12th March 2011 V Reddish Villa at Home (Plate Cup)

Brendon Bees 4   Reddish Villa  0

A slow start to what turned out to be a good game 1-0 up at half time with a goal from Declan Dunn splitting the two teams. The second half was much better with Declan Dunn netting another three goals to lead Brendon to a comfortable win in the end, and the man of the match award.

Saturday 19th March 2011 V Mossley Juniors at Home (Plate Cup Qtr Finals)

Brendon Bees 1   Mossley Juniors 2

We started off really badly and were very quickly 2-0 down, poor play and players that still seemed to be sleeping caught us out and we found it difficult to get back into the game. The second half started better with in form Declan Dunn netting another following his four from last week bringing us in with a chance. We pushed Mossley into reverse yet we couldn't put the ball into their net, eventually losing out 2-1. Man of the match this week was Jack Hawksworth who played his heart out.

Wednesday 30th March 2011 V 3D Dynamo's Away

3 D Dynamo's  6   Brendon Bees 0

We started off really well but found the Sunday pub league pitch too much with the ball bobbling around the dry grassless pitch not helping us one bit, not surprising Dynamo's were used to the pitch and handled their chances well and finished 6-0 winners, yet the score did flatter the home team a little. Mom went to Sam Pratt for an outstanding effort.

Saturday 2nd April 2011 V Manchester Corinthians Home

Brendon Bees 1   M/C Corinthians 2

I can never understand this team and probably never will but they took the game to Corinthians and there was never a point during this game that I didn't think we played better than the opposition yet they sneaked a victory from what was a well off side goal. James Oatt gave us the goal we thought would get us a share of the points and a commanding MOM performance from George Dyer but it never was.

Wednesday 6th April 2011 V Marple Athletic Home

Brendon Bees 3   Marple 3

Another well played game from both sides but again we were robbed of the points due to bad ref decisions, two good goals from Sam Pratt and Liam  Barry and a one off special from Jack Hawksworth gave us a share of the points at the end.

Saturday 9th April 2011 V Delamere Away

Delamere 4   Brendon 1

A very hot day for football but we never really got started although Liam Barry put us ahead early on, we were never going to win this game and eventually Delamere cruised to the 4-1 win.

Wednesday 16th April 2011 V West End Boys Home

Brendon Bees 6   West End 1

The boys were back in form for this game and in the end won easily, Ben McCarthy netting three times, Jack Hawksworth adding another with Liam Barry and Josh Faulkner also getting a goal a piece. Mom was awarded to Sam Pratt who as normal was outstanding.

Wednesday 20th April 2011 V Manchester Tigers Away

Manchester Tigers 7   Brendon Bees 1

This was one of those games, as soon as the ref appeared we knew this wasn't going to be our day and as normal the offsides went against us and we were soon 3-0 down. Liam Barry got one back but we were playing against 12 players including the ref and were never going to win, losing 7-1 at the end. George Dyer ran his heart out winning another MOM award to add to the other he got a few games ago against Corithians.

Saturday 30th April 2011 V Hough End Away (Reversed Fixture)

Hough End 14   Brendon Bees 0

Well the boys must have had too many Easter eggs over the past few days and would have felt better staying at home, nevermind we were out played in all departments by far the best team in our league and the scoreline showed that with us losing 14-0. Mom was awarded to Tom Galloway who decided to play as centre back, centre midfield and centre forward.

Wednesday 3rd May 2011 V 3D Dynamo's Home

Brendon Bees 3   3 D Dynamo's  2

We went ahead after piling on the pressure with all players giving equal effort throughout with the first of his hatrick from Liam Barry, yet Dynamo's thought they had got something from the game when they drew level and then went ahead but Liam Barry put us back in it and then giving us his third and a much deserved victory. Mom went to Josh Faulkner who played his heart out in midfield.
